Karnataka Public Service Commission has recently published a notification for recruitment of junior engineers and assistant engineers in Rural Drinking Water and Sanitation Department (RDWSD). Graduates of B.E in Civil/Environmental or Diploma from recognized institutions of Karnataka are eligible for this assistant engineering position and diploma graduates are eligible for junior engineering position. Common Important Instructions for RDWSD AE JE 2022

  • You need to be a graduate of B.E in Civil/Environmental or Diploma civil/environment/PHE holder from recognized institutions of Karnataka only. Graduates from other state universities are not eligible. 
  • Once the application is submitted, changes or addition is not entertained. 
  • Recruitment Method- Competitive Examination
  • There is a compulsory Kannada Examination, without passing this examination candidates are not allowed to for selection. 

Qualification and Age Limitation 

Qualification for AE and JE

AE RDWSD- The Candidates who wish to apply for RDWSD AE 2022 exam, should be graduates of B.E Civil/Environmental from university recognised by Govt. of Karnataka. 

JE RDWSD- The Candidates must be Diploma Civil/Environment/ PHE from an institute recognized by Karnataka Government. Before the last date of application, candidates must have graduated in the above mentioned degree. If the candidate is overqualified it is not considered.

For both AE and JE candidates the degree must be taken from an institution or university that is recognized by Govt. of Karnataka. Any other state university or institution graduates are not eligible. 

Age Limitation for AE and JE RDWSD 2022

Candidates up until the last date of application should not exceed maximum age limit and should not be low to the minimum age limit

  • Minimum Age limit – 18 Years
  • Maximum age limit- 35 Years 
  • For 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B – 38 Years
  • For SC, ST – 40 Years

Compulsory Kannada Examination 

The knowledge of Kannada for candidates is a must. The question paper will be set as of 10th standard First language Kannada level

  • To pass the examination candidate should get the 35% of the marks of each paper.
  • The Question Paper will be conducted in both Kannada and English language. 
  • Negative Marking- for each wrong answer 1/4th of the marks will be deducted. 

RDWSD 2022 examination will be conducted in online or offline mode. Online examination will be in the form Computer Based Recruitment Test CBRT.

Document Verification for AE RDWSD 2022

The candidates will be notified for document verification through a speed post. Candidates should come by themselves for the document verification. 

Interview for AE RDWSD 2022

Interview scores are 5 percent of the total marks assigned to the competitive examination, with a maximum score of 50. The aspect of the interview is to see the eligibility personality, capability in a particular subject, subtle and work efficiency, general knowledge and subject related knowledge of the candidate.

Other Important Information

  1. Certificates of your qualification should be uploaded before the last date for RDWSD 2022 Application 
  2. The extract of cumulative record of SSLC marks card or equivalent certificate or TC of SSLC should be uploaded for the verification of your birthdate 
  3. If applying for the Ex Servicemen category, the discharge certificate should be uploaded. Or if dependent on ex-servicemen, dependent certificate should be uploaded
  4. If applying for reservation of SC ST CAT-I Cat-2A, 2B, 3A, 3B the certificate received from the Tahashildar should be uploaded
  5. Candidates who opt for any kind of reservation should submit and upload the relevant certificates 
  6. Applications with half filled, due payments will be rejected
